١٧٢٤ - قيس بن الحصين ذي الغصة ابن يزيد بن شداد بن قنان بن سلمة بن وهب بن عبد الله بن ربيعة بن الحارث بن كعب من مذحج. قال وفد قيس بن الحصين مع خالد بن الوليد إلى النبي ﷺ وأمره رسول الله ﷺ على بني الحارث وكتب له كتابا وأجازه باثنتي عشرة أوقية ونش. وانصرف هو ومن كان معه من قومه إلى بلادهم نجران اليمن. فلم يمكثوا إلا أربعة أشهر حتى قبض رسول الله ﷺ.
