١١٠٨ - وأخوه عمر بن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف بن عبد عوف بن عبد بن الحارث. ولم تسم لنا أمه. فولد عمر بن أبي سلمة: يحيى. وإبراهيم درج. وأم محمد. وتماضر. وأمهم حبابة بنت محمد بن مصعب بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف. أخبرني يعقوب بن إبراهيم بن سعد بن إبراهيم. أن عبد الله بن علي بن عبد الله ابن عباس بن عبد المطلب قتل عمر بن أبي سلمة ليالي خرجوا بالشام. وكان عمر مع بني أخت له من بني أمية فقتله معهم. وروى عنه أبو عوانة. وهشيم. وكان كثير الحديث وليس يحتج بحديثه.
