٥٨٦ - عمارة بن أوس بن خالد بن عبيد بن أمية بن عامر بن خطمة. وأمه صفية بنت كعب بن مالك بن غطفان ثم من بني ثعلبة. فولد عمارة صالحا يكنى أبا واصل ورجاء وعامرا وأمهم أم ولد. وعمرا وزيادا وأم خزيمة وأمهم أم ولد. قال: أخبرنا الفضل بن دكين قال: حدثنا قيس بن الربيع قال: حدثنا زياد بن علاقة عن عمارة بن أوس الأنصاري قال: صلينا إحدى صلاة العشاء فقام رجل على باب المسجد ونحن في الصلاة فنادى: إن الصلاة قد وجهت نحو الكعبة. فحول أو تحوف إمامنا نحو الكعبة والرجال والنساء والصبيان.
