٣٧٤ - يزيد بن زمعة بن الأسود بن المطلب بن أسد بن عبد العزى بن قصي. وأمه قريبة الكبرى بنت أبي أمية بن المغيرة بن عبد الله بن عمر بن مخزوم. وكان قديم الإسلام بمكة وهاجر إلى أرض الحبشة في المرة الثانية في روايتهم جميعا. وقتل يوم الطائف شهيدا. ليس له عقب. جمح به فرسه يومئذ. وكان يقال له الجناح. إلى حصن الطائف فقتلوه. ويقال بل قال لهم آمنوني حتى أكلمكم. فأمنوه ثم رموه بالنبل حتى قتلوه.
