٢١٤ - وأخوه عباده بن قيس بن عبسة بن أمية بن عامرة بن عدي بن كعب. وهما عما أبي الدرداء. وليس لعبادة عقب. وشهد عباده بدرا واحدا والخندق والحديبية وخيبر ويوم مؤتة وقتل يومئذ شهيدا في جمادى الأولى سنة ثمان من الهجرة. وذكر عبد الله بن محمد بن عمارة الأنصاري أنه كان لسبيع بن قيس أخ لأبيه وأمه يقال له زيد بن قيس. ولم يشهد بدرا وقد صحب النبي ﷺ.
