    ١٢٦٢ - ومُطَيْر مَوْلَى يَزيد بن عبد الملك بن مَرْوَان (¬٢). (١٠٢٥) أخبرنا عبد الله بن يحيى السُكَّري، أخبرنا جعفر بن محمد بن أحمد بن الحَكَم الواسِطِي، أخبرنا أبو محمد الحسن بن علي بن المُتَوكِّل، أخبرنا أبو الحَسَن المَدائِني، عن إسحاق بن أيوب، عن مُطَيْر مولى يزيد بن عبد المَلِك، قال: كَتب الوليدُ بنُ عبد المَلِك إلى الحَجَّاج يُعَزِّيه عن أَخِيه محمد بن يوسف، فكتب إليه الحَجَّاجُ: يا أمير المؤمنين، ما الْتَقَيتُ أنا ومحمد منذُ كذا وكذا إلا عامًا واحدًا، وما غاب عني غَيْبة -أَنا لِطُولِ اللقَاء مِنها- أَرْجَى مِنْ غَيْبَتِه في دَارٍ لا يَتَفَرَّق فيها مُؤمِنَان (¬٣).
