    ٦٠٩٠ - عثمان بن محمّد بن العبّاس بن جبريل، أبو عمرو الورّاق، ويعرف بالشمعي (¬١): حدث عن أبي الأحوص محمّد بن الهيثم القاضي. روى عنه ابن الثّلّاج.أخبرني العتيقي- وكتب لي بخطه- قال: سمعت أبا الحسن أحمد بن الفرج بن منصور بن الحجّاج يقول: توفي أبو عمرو عثمان بن العبّاس بن جبريل الورّاق يوم الخميس بعد الظهر لعشر خلون من ربيع الآخر سنة أربع وثلاثين وثلاثمائة.
