[٢٤٨٤] السَّائِبُ بنُ خَبَّابٍ مَولى قريش (¬٦)، مدني، هو صاحب المقصورة، له صحبة، يكنى أبا مسلم، ويُقالُ: إِنَّه مولى فاطمة بنتِ عتبة بن ربيعةَ، وقيل: يُكنى أبا عبدِ الرحمنِ، رُوي عنه حديث واحدٌ، أنَّه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقولُ: "لا وُضُوء إلا من ريح أو صوت" (¬٧).روى عنه محمدُ بنُ عمرو بن عطاء، وإسحاق بن سالم، وابنه مسلم بن السائب. قيل: إنَّه تُوفِّيَ سنة سبع وسبعين، وهو ابن اثنتين وتسعين سنةً، [وقيل: مات سنة سبع وتسعين، وهو ابنُ اثْنتين (¬١) وسَبْعِين] (¬٢).
