    [٩٦٠] كَنَّازُ بنُ حِصْنٍ - ويُقالُ: ابن حُصَينٍ - أبو مَرْثَدٍ الغَنَويُّ (¬١)، قال ابن إسحاقَ (¬٢): هو كَنَّازُ بنُ حِصْنِ بن يَرْبوع بن عمرِو بن يَرْبوع بن خَرَشَةَ بن سعدٍ بن طَرِيفِ بن جِلَّانَ (¬٣) بن غَنْمِ بن غَنِيِّ بن يَعْصُرَ بن سعد بن قيس بن عَيْلان (¬٤) بن مُضَرَ، شهِد بدرًا هو وابنُه مَرْثَدُ بنُ أَبي مَرْثَدٍ، وهما حَليفا حمزةَ بن عبدِ المُطَّلِبِ، وهو من كبار الصحابة، روى عنه واثلةُ بنُ الأسقعِ، يُقالُ: إِنَّه مات في خلافة أبي بكر ﵁ سنةَ اثنتي عشرة وهو ابن سِتٍّ وسِتِّينَ سنةً، وسنذكُرُه في الكُنى بأتَمَّ من ذكره هنا (¬٥) إن شاء اللهُ (¬٦).
