الوليد بن المغيرة بن سليمان المعافري، وقيل: الأشجعي، أبو العباس المصري. روى عن: مشرح بن هاعان، وواهب بن عبد الله المعافري، والحارث بن يزيد الحضرمي، وعبد الله بن بشر الخثعمي، وعبد الله بن هبيرة السبئي، وغيرهم. وعنه: ابنه عبد الحميد، وابن وهب وزيد بن الحباب، وأبو سلمة الخزاعي، وقال: لم أر بمصر أثبت منه، وعبد الله بن أيوب التنيسي وجماعة. ذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. وقال ابن يونس: توفي سنة اثنتين وسبعين ومائة. قلت: جزم ابن يونس بأنه من موالي أشجع، قال: وقالزيد بن الحباب في حديثه: الوليد بن المغيرة المعافري، قال: ولعله سمع منه بالمعافر. • تمييز -
