معاذ بن عبد الرحمن بن عثمان بن عبيد الله بن عثمان بن عمرو بن عامر بن كعب بن سعد بن تيم بن مرة التيمي، من آل طلحة المدني. روى عن: أبيه، وحمران بن أبان مولى عثمان، وقيل: إنه سمع من عمر، قال أبو حاتم: ولا يصح. وعنه: أخوه عثمان، ونافع بن جبير بن مطعم، ومحمد بن إبراهيم بن الحارث، والزهري، وابن المنكدر، وعبد الله بن أبي سلمة الماجشون. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. قلت: سبق أبا حاتم إلى ذلك البخاري. وذكره ابن فتحون في الصحابة، وعزاه لخليفة بن خياط. وذكره ابن سعد في الطبقة الثانية من أهل المدينة. • ح خت ت -
