    لهيعة بن عقبة بن فرعان بن ربيعة بن ثوبان الحضرمي، ثم الأعدولي المصري، والد عبد الله. روى عن: سفيان بن وهب الخولاني وله صحبة، وأبي الورد المازني، وعمرو بن ربيعة الحضرمي. روى عنه: يزيد بن أبي حبيب، وزبان بن فائد المصري، وعبد الرحمن بن جساس، ومحمد بن عبيد الله التميمي. قال ابن يونس: يكنى أبا عكرمة، يقال: إنه كان ممن طلع مع سفيان بن وهب إلى المغرب سنة (٧٨)، ومات سنة مائة. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. قلت: وقال الأزدي: حديثه ليس بالقائم. وقال ابن القطان: مجهول الحال.
