قرة بن إياس بن هلال بن رئاب المزني، أبو معاوية البصري، له صحبة. روى عن: النبي ﵌. وعنه: ابنه معاوية. قال ابن عبد البر: سكن البصرة، ولم يرو عنه غير ابنه، ويقال له: قرة بن الأغر. قتل في حرب الأزارقة مع عبد الرحمن بن عبيس في زمن معاوية. قلت: وقع ذكره في البخاري ضمنا في أثر معلق في كتاب الصلاة، ذكرته في ترجمة أيوب بن العلاء.وقد أرخه ابن سعد، وخليفة، وأبو عروبة، وابن حبان، وغيرهم سنة (٦٤) فيكون ذلك في زمن معاوية بن يزيد بن معاوية. وذكره ابن سعد في طبقة الخندقيين. • س -
