    عمرو بن سلمة بن الحارث (¬٢) الهمداني، ويقال: الكندي الكوفي. روى عن: علي، وأبي موسى الأشعري، وسلمان بن ربيعة الباهلي. وعنه: ابنه يحيى، ويزيد بن أبي زياد، وعامر الشعبي. قال ابن أبي حاتم، عن أبيه: أخطأ البخاري في عمرو بن سلمة حيث جمع بينهما، ذاك جرمي وهذا همداني. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات، وقال: مات سنة خمس وثمانين، وهو أخو عبد الله بن سلمة. قلت: وذكره ابن سعد في الطبقة الأولى من أهل الكوفة، وقال: كان ثقة قليل الحديث وهو الذي بعثه الحسن بن علي في الصلح بينه وبين معاوية. • خ د س -
