عمر بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف الزهري، أبو حفص المدني. روى عن: أبيه، وسهل بن حنيف، ورجال من الصحابة. وعنه: ابناه حفص وعبد العزيز، وعمرو بن حية. ذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. وقال الزبير بن بكار: أمه سهلة الصغرى بنت عاصم بن عدي العجلاني. له عنده حديث تقدم في ترجمة ابنه حفص. • عخ د س ق -
