علي بن محمد بن أبي الخصيب القرشي الكوفي، وقد ينسب إلى جده. روى عن: وكيع، وأبي أسامة، وعمرو بن محمد العنقزي، وابن عيينة، ويحيى بن عيسى الرملي، ومحمد بن عثمان. روى عنه: ابن ماجه، وأحمد بن هارون البرديجي، وإبراهيم بن متويه، وأبو جعفر بن الحاجب، وأبو العباس أحمد بن سالم الشافعي، وأبو بكر بن أبي داود، وأبو محمد بن أبي حاتم، وقال: سمعت منه بالكوفة، ومحله الصدق. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات، وقال: ربما أخطأ. قال الحضرمي: مات سنة ثمان وخمسين ومائتين. • س -
