عبد الرحمن بن الأسود بن المأمول، مولى بني هاشم، أبو عمرو الوراق البصري. بغدادي الأصل. روى عن: عبيدة بن حميد، ومحمد بن ربيعة الكلابي، ومعتمر بن سليمان الرقي، وعمر بن أيوب الموصلي. وعنه: الترمذي، والنسائي، وابن جرير الطبري، وإسحاق بن إبراهيم بن محمد بن عرعرة، وأبو عبد الله محمد بن عبدة بن حرب القاضي، وإبراهيم بن محمد بن سعيد النيسابوري الصيدلاني وغيرهم. مات بعد الأربعين ومائتين. • ع -
