    عبد الأعلى بن أعين الكوفي، مولى بني شيبان. روى عن: يحيى بن أبي كثير، ونافع مولى ابن عمر. وعنه: عبيد الله بن موسى، ويحيى بن سعيد العطارالحمصي. روى له ابن ماجه حديثا واحدا في آداب الأكل. قلت: وقال أبو نعيم الأصبهاني في مقدمة «المستخرج على صحيح مسلم»: عبد الأعلى بن أعين روى عن يحيى بن أبي كثير المناكير، روى عنه عبيد الله بن موسى، لا شيء. وقال الدارقطني: ليس بثقة. وقال العقيلي: جاء بأحاديث منكرة، ليس منها شيء محفوظ. وقال ابن حبان: لا يجوز الاحتجاج به، منكر. • خ م د س -
