سليمان بن صالح الليثي، مولاهم، أبو صالح المروزي، المعروف بسلمويه، ويقال: اسمه سليمان بن داود. روى عن: ابن المبارك، وعلي بن مجاهد، وفضيل بن عياض، وأوس بن عبد الله بن بريدة. وعنه: محمد بن عبد العزيز بن أبي رزمة، وعمرو بن يحيى بن الحارث الحمصي، وإسحاق بن راهويه، وحامد بن آدم، وأبو علي محمد بن علي بن حمزة المروزي، وقال: كان ابن المبارك يخصه بالحديث، سمع منه نحو ثمانمائة حديث مما لم يقع منه في الكتب، مات قبل سنة عشر ومائتين، وكان جاوز مائة سنة. قلت: وذكره الشيرازي في «الألقاب» ووصفه بالنحوي. وقيل: إن اسمه سلمة. • د -
