السفر بن نسير الأزدي، الحمصي. روى عن: يزيد بن شريح، وضمرة بن حبيب. وعنه: عمر بن عمرو الأحموسي، ومعاوية بن صالح الحضرمي، وعبد الله بن رجاء الشيباني الحمصيون. وقال الدارقطني: لا يعتبر به. روى له ابن ماجه حديثا واحدا. قلت: وروى له الترمذي حديثا تعليقا. وذكره ابن حبان في «الثقات».وقال ابن أبي حاتم، عن أبيه: لم يسمع من أبي الدرداء، والحديث الذي رواه أبو المغيرة عن عمر بن عمرو عنه أنه سمع أبا الدرداء وهم. •
