سعاد بن سليمان الجعفي، ويقال: التميمي، ويقال: اليشكري، ويقال: الكاهلي الكوفي. روى عن: أبي إسحاق السبيعي، وعون بن أبي جحيفة، وزياد بن علاقة، وجابر الجعفي، وغيرهم. وعنه: علي بن ثابت الدهان، وأبو عتاب الدلال، والحسن بن عطية القرشي، وجبارة بن المغلس، وغيرهم. قال أبو حاتم: كان من عتق الشيعة، وليس بقوي في الحديث. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. روى له ابن ماجه حديثا واحدا: خير الدواء القرآن. •
