    داود بن خالد الليثي، أبو سليمان المدني، ويقال: المكي العطار، وكان منزله في بني ليث. روى عن: سعيد المقبري، وعثمان بن سليمان بن أبي حثمة. وعنه: معلى بن منصور، ويحيى الحماني، ويحيى بن قزعة. أفرده البخاري، وابن حبان في الثقات، وغير واحد عن الذي قبله، وجمع بينهما ابن عدي. روى له النسائي حديثا واحدا فيمن جعل قاضيا. قلت: وقال فيه ابن حبان: من أهل المدينة، سكن مكة. وقال عثمان الدارمي: قلت لابن معين: فداود العطار؟ قال: لا أعرفه. • بخ -
