    خباب المدني صاحب المقصورة، جد مسلم بن السائب بن خباب. روى عن: أبي هريرة وعائشة في اتباع الجنازة. وعنه: عامر بن سعد بن أبي وقاص. قلت: قال ابن ماكولا: أدرك الجاهلية. وكذا قال ابن عبد البر في الاستيعاب: خباب مولى فاطمة بنت عتبة بن ربيعة، أدرك الجاهلية، واختلف في صحبته. وذكره ابن منده وأبو نعيم في الصحابة، وساق ابن منده من طريق عبد الله بن السائب بن خباب، عن أبيه، عن جده قال: رأيت رسول الله ﵌ متكئا على سرير. . الحديث.
