خالد القَسْرِي (٦٦ - ١٢٦ هـ = ٦٨٦ - ٧٤٣ م) خالد بن عبد الله بن يزيد بن أسد القسري، من بجيلة، أبو الهيثم: أمير العراقين، وأحد خطباء العرب وأجوادهم.يماني الأصل، من أهل دمشق. ولي مكة سنة ٨٩هـ للوليد بن عبد الملك، ثم ولاه هشام العراقين (الكوفة والبصرة) سنة ١٠٥ هـ فأقام بالكوفة. وطالت مدته إلى أن عزله هشام سنة ١٢٠هـ وولي مكانه يوسف بن عمر الثقفي وأمره أن يحاسبه، فسجنه يوسف وعذبه بالحيرة، ثم قتله في أيام الوليد بن يزيد. وكان خالد يرمى بالزندقة، وللفرزدق هجاء فيه (١) .
