    ١٥٨٧ - الحسين بن داود بن عبد السيد بن علوان الخواجا عزّ الدين السلامى التاجر اصله من بغداد وقدم دمشق فسكنها وسمع بها من الفخر وابن الزين وغيرهما وهو الذى بنى المدرسة المعروفة بالسلامية وكان كثير التلاوة كثير المال جدا والصدقات والبر وكانت فيه غفلة من جهة النساء (¬١) وذكره البرزالى فى الشيوخ وقال رجل جيد ولد تقريبا سنة ٦٧٧ وحدث ومات فى شهر رجب سنة ٧٥٢ *
