    أحمد بن جواس الحنفي أبو عاصم الكوفي. روى عن أبي الأحوص، وعبد الله بن إدريس، وابن المبارك، وأبي معاوية، وأبي بكر بن عياش، وغيرهم. روى عنه مسلم، وأبو داود، وأبو زرعة، وابن وارة، وأحسن الثناء عليه، وأبو بكر الأثرم، والحسن بن سفيان، وغيرهم. قال مطين: مات لثلاث خلون من المحرم سنة (٢٣٨) ثقة. قلت: وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات، وروى عنه بقي بن مخلد، وقد قال: إنه لم يحدث إلا عن ثقة. • تمييز -
