٨٧٢٤ - عخ مد: الوليد بن المغيرة بن سليمان المعافري وقيل: الأشجعي أبو العباس المصري. روى عن: مشرح بن هاعان، وواهب بن عبد الله المعافري، والحارث بن يزيد الحضرمي، وعبد الله بن بشر الخثعمي، وعبد الله بن هبيرة السبائي وغيرهم. وعنه: ابنه عبد الحميد، وابن وهب، وزيد بن الحباب، وأبو سلمة الخزاعي وقال: لم أر بمصر أثبت منه، وعبد الله بن أيوب التنيسي وجماعة. ذكره ابن حبان (¬٢) في الثقات وقال ابن يونس: توفي (¬٣) سنة اثنتين وسبعين ومائة. قلت: جزمابن يونس بأنه من موالي أشجع. قال: وقال زيد بن الحباب في حديثه: الوليد بن المغيرة المعافري قال: ولعله سمع منه بالمعافر.
