    ٧٦٠٨ - م د: مالك بن عبد الواحد أبو غسان المسمعي (¬٤) البصري. روى عن: عبد الأعلى بن عبد الأعلى، وعبد الوهاب الثقفي، ومعتمر بن سليمان، وابن أبي عدي، وبشر بن المفضل، وعبد العزيز بن عبد الصمد العمي، وعبد الملك بن الصباح، ومعاذ بن معاذ، ومعاذ بن هشام، ويزيد بن هارون، ومعاذ بن المثنى، ومحمد بن يونس الكديمي وغيرهم (¬٥). قال ابن حبان (¬٦) في الثقات: يغرب. مات سنة ثلاثين ومائتين. قلت: وفيها أرخه ابن قانع وقال: ثقة ثبت.
