٧٢٧٠ - ق: محمد بن عقيل بن أبي طالب الهاشمي. روى عن: أبيه. وعنه: ابنه عبد الله. قال الزبير بن بكار: انقرض ولد عقيل إلّا من محمد. روى له ابن ماجه حديثهعن أبيه عن النبي ﷺ: "يجزئ من الوضوء مد ومن الغسل صاع". ووفع في بعض النسخ من سنن أبي داود حديث عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل، عن أبيه، عن الربيع بنت معوذ في الوضوء وهو وهم. وفي باقي الروايات، عن عبد الله، عن الربيع ليس فيه عن أبيه. وكذا في رواية الترمذي وهو الصواب.
