٧١٧٦ - تمييز: محمد بن عبد الجبار بن مهران العبدي أبو مسافر النيسابوري. روى عن: الوليد بن مسلم، وأبي معاوية الضرير وعمر بن هارون البلخي، والحسين بن الوليد النيسابوري، والوليد بن سلمة الطبري، والأصمعي. وعنه: ابن عمه محمد بن عبد الوهاب بن حبيب بن مهران الفراء، وأحمد بن محمد بن الحسين الماسرجسي، وعلي بن الحسين بن أبي عيسى الهلالي، وأحمد بن إبراهيم بن عبد الله. قال الحاكم: كان من وجوه نيسابور ولما ورد الأصمعي نيسابور نزل داره.
