٧٠٨٤ - س ق: محمد بن عباد بن آدم الهذلي أبو عبد الله البصري. روى عن: أبيه، وأبي أحمد الزبيري، وعبد الوهاب الثقفي، وابن أبي عدي، وغندر، ومروان بن معاوية، ومعتمر بن سليمان، وغيرهم. روى عنه: النسائي، وابن ماجه، وعمرو بن محمد بن بجير، والحسن بن علي الفسوي، وأبو بكر أحمد بن محمد بن صدقة، ومحمد بن أبان الأصبهاني، ومحمد بن أحمد بن سهل البركاني، وأبو عروبة، وأبو بكر بن أبي داود، وآخرون. قلت: ذكر القراب في تاريخه بإسناد له أنه توفي في رمضان سنة ثمان وستين ومائتين.
