    ٧٠٤٦ - م: محمد بن شيبة بن نعامة الضبي الكوفي. روى عن: أبي إسحاق السبيعي، وعمرو بن مرة، وعلقمة بن مرثد، وزبيد اليامي، وثابت بن عبيد. روى عنه: مسعر، وهشيم، وخارجة بنمصعب، وأبو معاوية، وفضيل بن عياض، وجرير بن عبد الحميد، ومحمد بن عيينة. ذكره ابن حبان (¬١) في الثقات. قلت: وقال ابن القطان: لا يعرف حاله. وقال أبو عوانة في صحيحه: يقال: إنه يكنى أبا نعامة.
