٦٨٦٣ - د: محمد بن حفص القطان أبو عبد الرحمن البصري قال عيسى بن شاذان: روى عن: أبي قتيبة سلم بن قتيبة، وعبد الرحمن بن مهدي، ومحمد بن خالد الجهني، وأبي داود الطيالسي، وأبي عامر العقدي، وأبي عاصم. وعنه: أبو داود، وحرب بن إسماعيل الكرماني، ويعقوب بن سفيان، ومحمد بن عبد الله الحضرمي، وابن أبي الدنيا. ذكره ابن حبان (¬٣) في الثقات. قلت: وذكره أبو عبد الله أحمد بن مندة في تاريخه وذكر أنه بغدادي حدث عنه ابن عيينة، ويحيى القطان بالمناكير.
