هلب الطائي، ويقال: إن هلبا لقب، واسمه: يزيد بن عدي بن قنافة بن عدي بن عبد شمس بن عدي بن أخزم، وفد على النبي ﵌ وهو أقرع، فمسح رأسه فنبت شعره، سكن الكوفة. وروى عن النبي ﵌. وعنه: ابنه قبيصة. قلت: وذكره ابن سعد في طبقة مسلمة الفتح.
