    ٥٩١٧ - خ د س: عمرو بن سلمة (¬٢) بن قيس الجرمي. أبو بريد ويقال أبو يزيد البصري. وفد أبوه على النبي ﷺ وكان عمرو يصلي بقومه في عهده وهو صغير ولم يصح له سماع ولا رواية وروي من وجه غريب أنه أيضًا وفد مع أبيه. روى عن: أبيه. وعنه: أبو قلابة الجرمي، وعاصم الأحول، وأبو الزبير، ومسعر بن حبيب الجرمي، وغيرهم. قلت: روى ابن مندة في كتاب الصحابة حديثه من طريق صحيحة وهي رواية الحجاج بن المنهال عن حماد بن سلمة عن أيوب عن عمرو بن سلمة قال كنت في الوفد الذين وفدوا على رسول الله ﷺ وهذا تصريح بوفادته وقد روى أبو نعيم في الصحابة أيضًا من طرق ما يقتضي ذلك وقال ابن حبان (¬٣) له صحبة.
