٥٩١٥ - بخ د ت س: عمرو بن أبي سفيان بن عبد الرحمن بن صفوان بن أمية الجمحي (¬٢). روى عن: أمية بن صفوان، وابن عم أبيه عمرو بن عبد الله بن صفوان، وعبد الله بن الزبير، وجابر بن سعد الدؤلي، ومسلم بن ثفنة البكري. وعنه: أخوه حنظلة، وابن جريج، والثوري، وزكرياء بن إسحاق، وابن المبارك، قال عبد الله بن شعيب الصابوني عن يحيى بن معين حنظلة بن أبي سفيان، وعمرو بن أبي سفيان جمحيان ثقتان وقال أبو حاتم (¬٣) مستقيم الحديث أراه أخا حنظلة وقال النسائي ثقه وذكره ابن حبان (¬٤) في الثقات.
