٥٥٥٢ - علي بن سويد. شيخ روى يحيى بن عبد الحميد الحماني عنه عن أبي داود الأعمى عن جابر في فضل المؤذن. قال سعيد البردعي: قال لي أبو زرعة: لابن نمير شيخ يقال له علي بن سويد يحدث عنه الحماني تعرفه؟ قلت: لا قال: هذا معلى بن هلال ينسبه الحماني إلى جده سويد وغير معلى فجعله عليًا انتهى. وذكر ابن أبي حاتم في العلل نحو هذا عن أبيه وذكرته عنه في ترجمة معلى.
