٤٦٩٩ - د ق: عبد الرحمن بن مهران المدني مولى بني هاشم. روى عن: عبد الرحمن بن سعد مولى الأسود بن سفيان، وعمير مولى ابن عباس. وعنه: محمد بن أبي ذئب. ذكره ابن حبان (¬٧) في الثقات (¬٨). قلت: علق البخاري في أوائل النكاح أثرًا من رواية محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ذئب عنه وهو قوله، وجمع عبد الله بن جعفر بين ابنة علي وامرأة علي ووصله البغوي في الجعديات عن علي بن الجعد عن أبي ذئب عنه بهذا، ولهذا الأثر طريق آخر يأتي في حرف القاف في قثم. وقال أبو الفتح الأزدي: فيه وفي شيخه عبد الرحمن بن سعد نظر.
