٤٦٠٤ - م دس: عبد الرحمن بن عثمان بن عبيد الله بن عثمان بن عمرو بن كعب بن سعد بن تيم بن مرة التَيْمِيُّ. أسلم يوم الحديبية وقيل: يوم الفتح وكان يقال له: شارب الذهب. روى عن: النبي ﷺ، وعن عمه طلحة بن عبيد الله، وعثمان بن عفان. وعنه: ابناه عثمان ومعاذ، والسائب بن يزيد، وابن المسيب، ومحمد بن إبراهيم التيمي، وأبو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن، وغيرهم قتل مع عبد الله بن الزبير (¬١) ودفن بالحزورة فلما زيد في المسجد دخل قبره في المسجد الحرام (¬٢).
