    ٤٤٨٧ - ت: عبد الرحمن بن خباب (¬٢) السُلَمِيُّ البَصْرِيُّ. روى عن: النبي ﷺ في فضل عثمان حين جهز جيش العسرة. وعنه: فرقد أبو طلحة. قال الدوري: سئل عنه ابن معين فقال: قد روى عن النبي ﷺ قيل له: هو ابن خباب بن الأرت قال: أحسبه هو. قلت: قال أبو القاسم البغوي لما ذكر حكاية الدوري: هذه ليس هو كما ظن أبو زكرياء فإن هذا سلمي كذا روى عن غير وجه ولم يروِ عن النبي ﷺ غير هذا الحديث. ولما ذكره ابن حبان (¬٣) في الصحابة قال: إنه أنصاري فإن صح هذا فهو سلمي بفتح السين.
