    ٤٣٤٠ - ق: عبد الأعلى بن أعين الكُوفيُّ مولى بني شيبان. روى عن: يحيى بن أبي كثير، ونافع مولى ابن عمر. وعنه: عبيد الله بن موسى ويحيى بن سعيدالعطار الحمصي. روى له ابن ماجه حديثًا واحدًا في آداب الأكل. قلت: وقال أبو نعيم الأصبهاني في مقدمة المستخرج على صحيح مسلم: عبد الأعلى بن أعين: روى عن يحيى بن أبي كثير المناكير روى عنه عبيد الله بن موسى لا شيء وقال الدارقطني ليس بثقة وقال العقيلي (¬١): جاء بأحاديث منكرة ليس منها شيء محفوظ وقال ابن حبان (¬٢): لا يجوز الاحتجاج به منكر.
