٤٠٢٣ - ت س ق: عبد الله بن عدي بن الحمراء الزهري أبو عمر ويقال أبو عمرو. عداده في أهل الحجاز وقيل: إنه ثقفي حالف بني زهرة. روى عن: النبي ﷺ قوله في مكة: والله إنك لخير أرض الله. وعنه: أبو سلمة بن عبد الرحمن، ومحمد بن جبير بن مطعم. قال إسماعيل القاضي عبد الله بن عدي بن الحمراء: سمع رسول الله ﷺ في فضل مكة وليس هو عبد الله بن عدي الذي روى عنه عبيد الله بن عدي بن الخيار. قال ابن عبد البر: وذاك أنصاري وأفرده بالذكر عن الأول في أسماء الصحابة. قلت: وسبق إلى التفريق بينهما علي بن المديني وكذا أفرده ابن مندة وأبو نعيم.
