    ٣١٨٣ - س: سيف بن عبيد اللّه الجرمي (¬٩) أبو الحسن السراج البصري. روى عن: الأسود بن شيبان، وسرار بن محشر، وسلمة بن العيار، والمسعودي، وغيرهم. وعنه: علي بن نصر بن علي الجهضمي وعبد القدوس بن محمد الحبحابي، وعمر بن الخطاب السجستاني، وعمرو بن علي الصيرفي، وقال فيه من خيار الخلق، عمرو بن يزيد الجرمي، وقال: ثقة وذكره ابن حبان (¬١٠) في الثقات وقال: ربما خالف. قلت: وقال أبو بكر البزار في مسنده: ثقة وقال مسلمة بن قاسم: فيه ضعف.
