    ٢٨٩٩ - خ ٤: سلمان بن عامر بن أوس بن حجر بن عمرو بن الحارث الضبي. له صحبة. قال مسلم بن الحجاج: وليس في الصحابة ضبي غيره. روى عن: النبي ﷺ. وعنه: ابنة أخيه أم الرائح الرباب بنت صليع بن عامر الضبي، ومحمد، وحفصة ابنا سيرين، وعبد العزيز بن بشر بن كعب، وسكن البصرة. قلت: في الصحابة يزيد بن نعامة الضبي قال البخاري (¬٤): له صحبة. وكدير الضبي مختلف في صحبته وحنظلة بن ضرار الضبي. قال الدولابي: قتل يوم الجمل وهو ابن مائة سنة. ذكره ابن قانع في الصحابة في آخرين مذكورين في الكتب المصنفة في الصحابة فينظر في قول مسلم وذكر أبو إسحاق الصريفيني: توفي سلمان في خلافة عثمان وفيه نظر والصواب أنه تأخر إلى خلافة معاوية.
