٢٥٩٧ - ٤: سباع (¬٥) بن ثابت. حليف بني زهرة. روى عن: عمر، وأم كرز الكعبية، ومحمد بن ثابت بن سباع على خلاف فيه. وعنه: عبيد الله بن أبي يزيد، وقيل: عن عبيد الله عن أبيه قال ابن سعد: كان قليل الحديث وذكره ابن حبان (¬٦) في الثقات. قلت: وذكره أبو القاسم البغوي، وابن قانع في الصحابة وأخرجا له حديثه: "أدركت من الجاهلية أنهم كانوا يطوفون بين الصفا والمروة" الحديث لكنه موقوف فيكون من المخضرمين بل من الصحابة لمعنى ذكرته في كتابي في الصحابة.
