٢٣٩٥ - د س: زهير بن عثمان الأعور الثقفي. عداده في الصحابة الذين نزلوا البصرة. روى حديثه: الحسن البصري، عن عبد الله بن عثمان الثقفي، عن رجل أعور من ثقيف كان يقال له معروف أي يثني عليه خيرًا إن لم يكن زهير بن عثمان فلا أدري ما اسمه في الوليمة. قال البخاري (¬٤): لم يصح إسناده ولا نعرف له صحبة. قلت: وقد أثبت صحبته ابن أبي خيثمة، وأبو حاتم الرازي (¬٥)، وأبو حاتم، وابن حبان (¬٦)، والترمذي، والأزدي، وقال: تفرد عنه بالرواية عبد الله بن عثمان وغيرهم.
