١٤٧٢ - ق: الحسن بن سهيل بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف الزهري. روى عن: عبد الله بن عمر. وعنه: يزيد بن أبي زياد. قال عثمان الدارمي (¬٧)، عن ابن معين: مشهور. وذكره ابن حبان (¬٨) في الثقات. له عند ابن ماجه حديث واحد في النهي عن خاتم الذهب. قلت: قرأت بخط الذهبي (¬٩): لا أعلم روى عنه غير يزيد. وقال البخاري (¬١٠) في التاريخ: لا أدري سمع من ابن عمر، أم لا. وفي صحيح البخاري في اللباس: وقال جرير عن يزيد في حديثه: القسية ثياب مضلعة بالحرير. وهذا رواه يزيد بن أبي زياد عن الحسن بن سهيل، هذا كذا رويناه في غريب الحديثلإبراهيم الحربي قال: ثنا عثمان، ثنا جرير.
