١٣٤٠ - ٤: حجاج بن عمرو بن عزية (¬٩) الأنصاري المازني المدني له صحبة. روى عن: النبي ﷺ وعنه: ابن أخيه ضمرة بن سعيد، وعبد الله بن رافع، وعكرمة. وقيل: عن عكرمة، عن عبد الله بن رافع. روى له الأربعة حديثًا واحدًا. قلت: قد صرح بسماعه من النبي ﷺ في الحديث الذي أخرجوه له في الحج، وذكره بعضهم في التابعين منهم العجلي، وابن البرقي، وذكره ابن سعد (¬١٠) في الطبقة الثانية من تابعي أهل المدينة. وقال ابن المديني: هو الذي روى ضمرة عنه، عن زيد بن ثابت في العزل قال: ويقال: الحجاج بن أبي الحجاج، وهو الذي ضرب مروان بن الحكم يوم الدار، فأسقطه. وقال أبو نعيم (¬١١): شهد مع علي صفين.
