٩٧٤ - تمييز: ثابت بن الضحاك بن أمية بن ثعلبة بن جشم الخَزرَجِيُّ ولد سنة (٢) من الهجرة، ومات في فتنة ابن الزبير قريبًا من سنة (٧٠) ذكره الواقدي فيمن رأى النبي ﷺ، ولم يحفظ عنه شيئًا وليس له في الكتب رواية، وقد خلط غير واحد إحدى الترجمتين بالأخرى، فحصل في كلامهم تخليط قبيح. قلت: زعم الدمياطي أن الرديف والدليل هو هذا، ولا يتجه ذلك، وكأنه تبع في ذلك ابن عبد البر، وقد نص أبو بكر بن أبي داود على خلاف ذلك، وبيناه في معرفة الصحابة.
