٦٩٤ - خ: أُهبان (¬١٠) بن أوس الأسَلَمِيُّ، ويقال: وهبان له صحبة وبايع تحت الشجرة وصلى القبلتين ونزل الكوفة ومات بها في ولاية المغيرة. قيل إنه مكلم الذئب، وقيل: إن مكلم الذئب أهبان بن عياذ الخزاعي. روى له: البخاري حديثًا موقوفًا في المغازي من رواية مجزأة بن زاهر عنه. قلت: وذكر الطبري، والبلاذري، وقبلهما أبو عبيد، والكلبي أن مكلم الذئب اسمه أهبان بن الأكوع بن عياذ بن ربيعة. قال ابن مندة: وهو عم سلمة بن عمرو بن الأكوع الأسلمي والله أعلم.
